Propane offers a variety of efficient ways to heat your home.

Propane-fueled heating systems - These heating systems offer the ultimate in heating comfort and energy efficiency, while remaining environmentally responsible. There are two basic types of propane heating systems:

CENTRAL HEATING SYSTEMS for propane furnaces work using fans or blowers to force heated air from a centrally located furnace via ducts throughout the home. They provide up to 25-degrees-warmer air than heat pumps and most are equipped with electronic ignitions that activate burners only when heat is needed - increasing energy efficiency. Propane furnaces have operating lives of 15 to 20 years and they run in short intervals to minimize operating costs.

SPACE HEATING is designed to heat one room or zone at a time and is typically used in applications such as fireplaces, space heaters, and hearth stoves. The advantages are greater energy efficiency because it allows you to heat only the zones that need it and it provides instant warmth.

Propane Space Heaters - These units can be either wall-mounted or freestanding. They also produce fewer air pollutants and greenhouse gases than space heaters using fuel oil.  An added advantage is their ability to work during electric outages.

Propane Fireplaces - Propane fireplaces are virtually maintenance-free - no ashes or soot. They can heat larger areas and heat more evenly and efficiently than wood-burning fireplaces. They improve the air quality of a room. Imagine having the control to turn a fire on/off with thermostatic switches or remote controls, eliminating worry about remaining wood embers. New venting options make installation easier and keep construction costs down by eliminating masonry or metal chimneys. Some of the newer, zero-clearance models can go almost anywhere and most models don't require electricity.

Propane Fireplace Inserts & Log Sets
- Placed in an existing fireplace, a propane fireplace insert is an insulated, closed-door system. A propane log set, also used in an existing fireplace, is a combination of a gas burner placed in realistic-looking firewood, made from fireproof material. These systems are attractive to homeowners because they eliminate the mess of wood-burning fireplaces, they are easy to operate and maintain, and being smokeless, they keep the air inside homes clean.

Propane Hearths - A hearth stove is a perfect solution for a chilly room. They provide instant heat that penetrates the room to make your home cozy even on the coldest days. These freestanding units lend aesthetic value to a room. Through their viewing window, you can enjoy the warmth and beauty of a realistic-looking fire.
